ABOUT THE LEAGUE
The California Credit Union League and the Nevada Credit Union League are the trade associations for credit unions in those states. They serve 343 credit unions in California and Nevada with more than 9.5 million members and more than $127 billion in assets. 
WHAT IS A CREDIT UNION?
Members are united by a common bond of association and democratically operate the credit union under state or federal regulation.
As of December 2011, there are 7,324 credit unions in the United States. About 424 of these are in California and 23 in Nevada. Of the 92.6 million credit union members nationwide, 9.59 million are in California and 362,451 are in Nevada.
PUBLIC AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT
The Public Affairs Department welcomes any questions you may have about the credit union industry. Department staff can provide you with statistics and information on credit unions in both California and Nevada as well as on the national level.
