Job Description  USC Credit Union (USCCU) has an immediate opening for a full time, benefits-eligible Indirect Auto Lending Manager.
This position will report directly to the Chief Lending Officer and will be responsible for building, promoting and managing a dealer network and point of sale lending program for the Trojan Family.
Primary responsibilities: Develops, implements and administers all aspects of the application, processing, funding and servicing of loans originated at the dealer point of sale using internal and/or external resources; Builds and manages the credit union’s indirect lending team, to include dealer relationship, loan fulfillment and loan servicing personnel; Cultivates and manages business partnerships with auto dealers committed to providing exceptional service and value to USCCU members; Hosts monthly events for dealers participating in the Trojan Auto Buying program; Serves as the organizational expert on indirect lending platforms, systems, practices, policies and procedures; Ensures dealers have current CU rates, incentives, fees, promotional materials and other supplies on hand; Monitors and reports trends in automobile sales and lending. Recommend changes that may be needed to remain competitive and profitable. Identifies opportunities for new and revised services; Analyzes program metrics and provides periodic reports on profitability and loan quality, to include portfolio, dealer, member demographic and loan officer performance reports; Perform analysis and communication of complex regulatory changes to ensure compliance and avoid costly civil and criminal penalties; Executes strategies and tactics set forth by senior management and the Board of Directors. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of indirect auto lending and underwriting, including dealer relationship management, risk analysis, loan origination and funding, pricing, portfolio management and budgeting.
Minimum three years of experience in dealer/indirect financing at a financial institution or a captive/manufacturer’s credit department. Strong organizational skills, excellent interpersonal skills, communication, and customer service skills. Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
