Job Description  The Bourns Employee’s Federal Credit Union (BEFCU) is searching for a dedicated Accounting Assistant to join the team.

The Accounting Assistant will assist the Accounting Manager with various accounting processes and procedures as well as loan management functions, including:

- Preparation and distribution of cash position, outstanding loan balances and net long term assets ratios reports.
- Bookkeeping principles, general ledger.
- Loan and share charge offs.
- Reconciliation of cash drawers.
- Governmental and regulatory agency reporting.
- Maintenance of loan files.

The BEFCU is looking for an individual that is able to work efficiently and effectively under pressure. The Accounting Assistant must be great at multitasking and adapting to quickly changing priorities. He or she must understand the importance of teamwork and providing excellent service to our credit union members as well as our credit union team.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent along with 2 or more years of accounting experience with a credit union or similar institution. Thorough knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and National Credit Union Association Rules and Regulations (NCUARR) required. Beginning level Excel, Word and Outlook skills are also necessary.
