Meriwest CU used an essay competition to ask its younger members to think "outside the box" and provide a different perspective regarding the mobile banking experience versus branch banking. Students made the case for credit unions retaining their branch offices despite modern technology, with a local high school senior, Marissa, winning first place in the competition. Winners were selected from 10th to 12th grades, respectively, with a first, second, and third-place finish.
