Applications for the annual $1 million CO-OP Financial Services Miracle Match grants program are due Sept. 30.
Credit unions planning to sponsor Credit Unions for Kids fundraisers in 2013 can now download the application here. All credit unions, chapters, and leagues in the United States are eligible to apply.
Launched in 2008 by CO-OP, Miracle Match is a $1 million matching funds program that benefits Credit Unions for Kids supporting local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH). It encourages credit unions, chapters, and leagues to create and participate in local CMNH fundraisers. All matching funds go directly to local CMNHs.
In 2012, 155 credit unions participated in the CO-OP Miracle Match program, raising more than $2.2 million, which was matched by $1 million from CO-OP. The funds benefited 68 hospitals in 37 states.
“This year marks our 15th year of participating in Credit Unions for Kids,” said Stan Hollen, CEO of CO-OP Financial Services. “The program is national in scope, but dollars raised go to supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the local service areas of the credit unions holding the events. This is an ideal way for credit unions to uplift the community of their members.”
