The company's Next Steps messaging seeks to emphasize the steps they're taking to address the needs of credit unions and members, highlight the steps they've already taken, help credit unions step across the bridges they've built through superior support and service, and learn from credit unions where they want and need to go so they can properly plan future steps.
Also at the convention, CUNA Mutual Group Senior Vice President of Strategy and Business Development John Lass will present two breakout sessions on Tuesday, November 13. In "Collaboration within the Credit Union System, Part 1" at 11:35 a.m.–12:35 p.m., Lass will discuss how collaboration represents an alternative approach for achieving the scale needed to compete in today's challenging environment. He will examine how credit unions can benefit from collaboration, the hallmarks of successful collaboration, and pitfalls that can cause collaborative efforts to go wrong.
Then, in "Collaboration within the Credit Union System, Part 2" at 4:10–5:10 p.m., Lass will build on the collaboration theme by examining real-time case studies to demonstrate how organizations leverage collaboration to achieve increased economies of scale and improved competitiveness. Case studies will cover credit unions both inside and outside the U.S., as well as several companies outside financial services.
