Financial Center CU won “Best of Show” in the annual Credit Union National Association Diamond Awards. The credit union’s “Eye Candy” auto loan postcards earned high marks in the “Cut” Award for Most Edgy category. The objective of the postcard series was to keep Financial Center CU in the forefront of members’ minds for auto loans, especially members in the 20 to 45 age range. Utilizing internet meme-style messaging, “bleeped” language, holograms, and even a bicycle-riding Santa, the goal was to achieve a 4 percent response rate and gross $4.7 million in auto loans.
