'Project Zip Code' Tool
Credit unions across the country are boosting their grassroots efforts with Project Zip Code. It's one of the easiest ways to get politically active without compromising members’ privacy.
Developed by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), Project Zip Code is a computer software program that counts credit union members and matches them with their state and federal legislative officials. The information is compiled into a database, providing a clear picture of the industry’s strength.
The data also serves as a valuable tool for credit unions to identify potential new areas for branch and ATM expansions.
