STAY TUNED FOR NCUA RULES
Leagues Will Provide Review
The National Credit Union Administration's (NCUA) October board meeting will take place Oct. 24, with the agenda including two final and two proposed rules that the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues will be watching and providing member credit unions more information on.
Matters to be considered during the open session include:
  • Board Briefing on a Proposed Interagency Rule, Part 760, Loans in Areas Having Special Flood Hazards
  • Quarterly National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund Report
  • Final Rule, Parts 741 and 748, Electronic Filing of Financial Reports
  • Final Rule, Part 741, Liquidity and Contingency Funding Plans
  • Proposed Rule, Part 702, Credit Union Capital Planning and Stress Testing
Credit unions should stay tuned for TIPs Bulletins (Technical Information and Procedures) provided by the Leagues' Research and Information staff when the final NCUA rules are issued. TIPs Bulletins give your credit union the information needed to implement the rules in your credit union.
Additionally, the Leagues' Regulatory Advocacy staff will issue executive summaries on the two proposed rules and make them available on PowerComment, the Leagues' online tool giving credit unions the power to access information on proposed rules, review and discuss proposed rules, and write and submit comment letters.
The Leagues encourage you to be involved in the regulatory process and write comment letters that help shape final regulations. PowerComment lets your voice be heard!
