Kinecta and Nix held a month-long collection campaign collecting nearly 600 backpacks filled with school supplies with additional backpacks donated by the Richstone Family Center, Thomas House Family Shelter, and other schools and community organizations.

Gatto was elected to office in a June 2010 special election. He represents Assembly District 43, which includes the cities of Burbank, Pasadena, Glendale, La Canada Flintridge, and parts of Los Angeles. He is also chairman of the Assembly Committee on Appropriations and serves on the Assembly Committee on Banking and Finance.

The California Political Reform Act (Proposition 34) places limits on contributions to candidates for state office and imposes certain prohibitions. This request does not seek a contribution in excess of applicable limits or from prohibited sources. An individual, union, PAC, corporation and other entities may contribute a maximum of $4,100 to the committee per election, primary and general.
