The brief survey—which should only take a few minutes to complete—is designed to obtain your members’ opinions on their current financial situations and outlook on the economy overall. Topics include mobile banking, account fees, and holiday spending plans.
This survey is especially important because we have added a few questions on taxation. These questions will help us as we begin our fight to preserve our taxation status. We need numbers to help us tell a compelling story so now more than ever, we hope you will do all you can to share this survey with your membership. All your credit union has to do is simply post a link to the survey prominently on your website, social media channels, as well as member-directed marketing for a two-week period. The Leagues will take care of all data gathering.
In the initial phase, the 15 credit unions promoted a member survey, which resulted in more than 2,500 responses on issues ranging from tax refunds to home and auto purchases. Using statistics culled from the survey, we sent out monthly Consider This communications pieces to print, broadcast, and online media outlets in both states over the last five months. Most recently, statistical information on summer vacation plans was used in an article published in the Monterey County Herald and a number of its sister newspapers, including Oakland Tribune, Long Beach Press-Telegram, Pasadena Star News,and Inland Valley Daily Bulletin.
