Prepare With League, CUNA Briefing
Credit union leaders have an extremely valuable opportunity to ask questions and relay concerns face to face with National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) officials this coming Thursday (June 26) at Chairman Debbie Matz’s Listening Session
in Los Angeles—a unique event where every attendee's presence counts.
“We urge leaders from every credit union to attend,” said Sharon Lindeman, vice president of regulatory advocacy for the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues. “This event is for NCUA to listen to you—the concerns you have about the proposed PCA-Risk Based Capital rule and other regulatory issues that impact your credit union.”
Matz said the Listening Sessions are generally most productive when registrants come with ideas for proposed solutions. “We’ll ask participants to share suggestions for how they believe the regulatory and supervision process can be improved,” she said during a recent interview with the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) News Now staff.
