'PowerComment' Combats Burdens
PowerComment, a highly-interactive online resource that helps credit unions take their regulatory concerns directly to regulators, was officially announced today during the summer American Association of Credit Union Leagues (AACUL) meeting.

Developed by the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues in 2013, PowerComment is available to all Credit Union National Association (CUNA)-affiliated credit unions across the country. Users have access to the latest regulatory proposals, discussion boards, and most importantly, the ability to submit comment letters directly to the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), and other federal and state regulators.

Credit unions can also access PowerComment through CUNA’s website by using their CUNA log-in information. If an individual is logged in to CUNA and already has a PowerComment user-profile, he or she will be appropriately directed when clicking on the PowerComment link.

Prior to the national rollout, PowerComment was tested by several other leagues, including Cornerstone Credit Union League, Credit Union Association of the Dakotas, Georgia Credit Union Affiliates, Iowa Credit Union League, League of Southeastern Credit Unions, Michigan Credit Union League, Minnesota Credit Union Network, Mountain West Credit Union Association, Northwest Credit Union Association, and Virginia Credit Union League.

For more information about PowerComment, please contact CUNA at PowerComment@cuna.coop.
