California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues are hosting an “Advocacy Workshop: Elevating Your Credit Union’s Advocacy Game” for key employees from member credit unions. This important session will be useful for credit union employees seeking to lend greater professionalism to their governmental affairs and community outreach activities, or for someone on staff who has expressed a future interest in becoming an advocate for their credit union. Newcomers are welcome!

Local advocacy efforts lead not only to important victories in Sacramento, Carson City and in Washington, D.C., but also to an enhanced overall community presence for your credit union. This one-day workshop will strengthen communication skills required for effective legislative meetings and will also feature fresh concepts about targeting and maintaining relationships with important community leaders.

A central part of the program will be a dialogue with attendees about how the Leagues can most effectively support your local advocacy efforts.

Register here by Friday, Sept. 27. Space is limited to 75 attendees, so please register at your earliest convenience to secure your spot!

We hope you will join us this fall in the beautiful Capitol View Room at the Hyatt Regency in Sacramento for the workshop! If you have any questions, please contact Leagues Advocacy Specialist Emily Udell at emilyu@ccul.org or (916) 325-1363.

Note: The day’s agenda will be provided prior to the workshop as details are finalized.
