‘Trusted Contact’ Resources Available: Access InfoSight Toolkit

Credit unions are on the frontline in the fight against elder financial exploitation. To help in that effort, the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues have partnered with League InfoSight to provide you with new valuable tools and resources designed to implement a Trust Contact program.

These resources are available for League members at no cost as part of its membership benefits.

Multiple agencies — including the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) — have encouraged credit unions to permit members to add a Trusted Contact Person to their account as another defense against financial fraud.

To aid credit unions, specific “Trusted Contact” resources developed include:

  • Model policies.
  • Model procedures.
  • Model script.
  • Model authorization form.
  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
  • Additional resources from state and federal regulators

League members can access the Trusted Contact Person Toolkit through League InfoSight. They can also access these resources through CU PolicyPro, a comprehensive policy management system.
