Tell Congress to Support CDFI Funding

In his Fiscal Year 2020 budget submitted to Congress, President Trump has proposed eliminating $300 million in federal funding for the Department of Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) Fund.

The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues are asking you to take action and tell your members of Congress to support CDFI funding. Click here to let your voice be heard on this important matter.

The CDFI Fund provides financial assistance and technical assistance as well as offers grants, secondary capital, nonmember deposit, or loans. CDFIs—which includes credit unions—finance community development initiatives, which provide, among other things, mortgage lending for first-time homebuyers and commercial loans for businesses in low-income areas.
