San Diego County CU CEO Teresa Campbell (from California) and WestStar CU CEO Rick Schmidt (from Nevada) will continue to serve on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s Credit Union Advisory Council (CUAC).

Earlier this year, CFPB Director Kathy Kraninger made changes to the CUAC (and other discretionary councils) that allows for two-year terms, expands the focus of the meetings to cover broad policy matters, and increases the frequency of in-person meetings from two times a year to three times a year.

The California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues would like to thank both Campbell and Schmidt for their excellent and continued service on the CUAC, ensuring California and Nevada issues are heard.

“We also thank Rick for his service as CUAC chair this past year,” said Sharon Turley, vice president of regulatory advocacy for the Leagues. “As chair, Rick has been especially engaged with the CPFB, and we have all benefited from his appointment.”

The new CUAC chair is Sean Cahill, CEO of TrueSky CU in Oklahoma.

Other council members include:

  • Arlene Babwah (Coastal FCU in Raleigh, NC)
  • Rick Durante (Franklin Mint FCU in Chadds Ford, PA)
  • Doe Gregersen (Landmark CU in New Berlin, WI)
  • Brian Holst (Elevations CU in Boulder, CO)
  • Racardo McLaughlin (TwinStar CU in Lacey, WA)
