Four CUs Awarded CDFI Grants; 2020 ‘How To’ Webinar in December

The California Credit Union League would like to congratulate all four credit unions throughout the state that have been awarded a total of nearly $2 million in grants during the Community Development Financial Institutions Fund’s (CDFI) recent announcement for fiscal year 2019:

Episcopal Community FCU — $37,500 (Technical Assistance Award)

Ontario Montclair School Employees FCU — $650,000 (Financial Assistance Award)

Santa Cruz Community CU — $565,000 (Financial Assistance Award)

Tucoemas FCU — $525,000 (Financial Assistance Award)

Tucoemas FCU — $149,000 (Persistent Poverty Counties Financial Assistance Award)

Thinking About Applying for 2020?
Now is a great time to start thinking about preparing your organization for a fiscal year 2020 CDFI Program or Native American CDFI Assistance Program (NACA Program) application. The CDFI Fund is tentatively planning to open the FY 2020 Financial Assistance and Technical Assistance application round in early 2020.

Join CDFI Fund staff for an informational pre-application webinar on Wednesday, Dec. 18 to learn more (2 – 4 p.m. Eastern). Topics covered will include setting up your critical and accounts, adjusting your organizational profile in the Awards Management Information System (AMIS), and other ways your organization can prepare in advance for the FY 2020 application round.
