‘The Power of Advocacy’ in California and Nevada

2019 was a year of great accomplishment in the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues’ advocacy efforts. Those successes could not have happened without the never-ending support and direct engagement provided by our member credit unions.

To summarize those accomplishments individually in California and Nevada, we have created easy-to-use documents entitled “The Power of Advocacy.” We encourage you to share them with your management team, board of directors, and other professionals.

Because of the powerful relationships credit union leaders have forged with lawmakers and regulators at home, as well as in Sacramento, Carson City, and Washington, D.C., credit unions are reaping substantial bottom-line value from their advocacy engagement. Those wins will have a positive financial impact for many years to come.

By working throughout the year with state legislators, members of Congress, the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), your members’ rights to be part of a robust and growing credit union movement is guaranteed.

Thank you for the extraordinary efforts you perform to make these successes possible.
