The filing period for financial institutions to report Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) data collected in 2018 opened on Jan.1, 2019.  Financial institutions can now submit 2018 data through the platform.

The beta testing version of the 2018 HMDA data platform which was for the reporting of data collected in 2018 that must be reported in 2019 is now closed.  The beta testing platform allowed reporting financial institutions to test and retest 2018 sample HMDA data files to assess if their Loan Application Register (LAR) data was in compliance with the reporting requirements for HMDA data collected in 2018.  All test data uploaded during the beta period has been removed from the system.

Financial institutions can access the HMDA Platform used to begin the filing process for data collected in 2018 here.

On Dec. 21, 2018 the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection (BCFP) issued final policy guidance describing modifications the Bureau intends to apply to the HMDA data financial institutions before the data is disclosed to the public.
