For the second year, SAFE CU is granting funds to one of the only remaining Sacramento area organizations providing transitional housing for veterans experiencing homelessness. The credit union is awarding $20,000 to Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada. The nonprofit plans to use the grant to help fund its Transitional Housing Program providing shelter and resources for up to 80 veterans each night.
