As a credit union service organization, LSC works daily to help solve problems so credit unions can thrive and compete. Fulfilling member needs by adding or developing programs and services that meet their goals is vital for success. Credit card programs are a particularly valuable part of that offering.

The Challenge:  Credit Unions Already Have a Full Load
Developing new creative promotional campaigns for a full year combined with the necessary operations put a strain on many credit unions’ budgets, workload and time.

The Solution: LSC introduced the Accelerated Growth Program (AGP) to Address Credit Card Portfolio Challenges
Service and Support: LSC took on the operational steps to free participating credit unions from the burden of extra time and work needed to grow a credit portfolio. The point was to make growth easy.

More for Less: We took service and support a step further to include a new, full range of B2C marketing materials every year for participants. We have even been sending inserts to quarterly members to help increase penetration rates. The goal was for credit unions to be able to check “Marketing Plan” off their yearly to-do lists.

Portfolio Development: Our team of experts have focused on combining reward programs that encourage sign-ups and card use while also addressing responsible payment planning. Credit line management has played an important role in our strategy to increase transaction frequency and size as well as outstanding balances.

Participants in LSC’s Accelerated Growth Program have seen amazing return on their investment that has given them an edge over non-participants. They have seen:

  • 40% increase in new accounts opened
  • 11% increase in outstanding balances
