Credit union leaders from Delta Schools FCU recently met with one of the industry’s credit union allies — Assemblymember Tim Grayson (D-Concord), chair of the California Assembly Banking and Finance Committee.
Grayson understands the impactful role credit unions play in improving the wellbeing of not only their members and employees, but communities at large.
During the visit by Grayson to Delta Schools FCU’s headquarters, credit unions were able to share important stories of how they have upheld their commitment to financial safety and service for their members, especially amid economic uncertainty. The group held a dynamic discussion covering education equity concerns, the future of finance, the importance of community involvement, access to affordable housing, and banking deserts.
“We were honored to continue our conversation about the credit union difference with Assemblymember Grayson during our Government Relations Rally this week at the state capitol in Sacramento,” said Angelica Pappalardo, political advocacy manager for the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues.
