The Federal Reserve System’s Outlook Live webinar platform recently said that some compliance questions may be addressed in the relevant statute, regulation, or official staff commentary — but it can be challenging to find answers to issues not directly addressed in these sources.
In the upcoming Compliance Resources: Learning Where to Find Answers to Your Compliance Questions webinar from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Pacific) on March 20, the Fed will review sound practices for researching compliance questions and provide several examples. Webinar hosts will discuss how to navigate the U.S. Code, the Code of Federal regulations, the Official Staff Commentaries, Federal Register notices, frequently asked questions, and other resources. They will also show how to conduct a single search on the websites of all the federal consumer regulatory agencies to see if your question has been addressed.
Webinar hosts will follow the presentation with a questions-and-answers segment. To facilitate this session, please send in your questions in advance of the webinar via e-mail.
This event will be submitted to ABA Professional Certifications for CE credit review. Once webinar hosts receive notification of the credit approval, they will notify attendees.
This webinar is part of the ongoing series of events focused specifically on consumer compliance topics. The “Outlook Live” webinar series is a Federal Reserve System initiative produced in conjunction with the Federal Reserve System’s newsletter Consumer Compliance Outlook.
