The California State Senate voted unanimously on March 4 to confirm Greg Young as senior deputy commissioner of corporations and financial institutions at the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI).
The senate vote followed a unanimous vote by the Senate Rules Committee to recommend confirmation.
On March 29, 2023, Governor Gavin Newsom announced the appointment of Young as senior deputy at the DFPI.
He joined the department on March 30 and is based in San Francisco.
