Make CU Members Count: Update Your ‘Project Zip Code’ Record

Make your credit union and members count in 2023 by updating your Project Zip Code record! This is a national database program that counts credit union members and matches them by congressional district, state legislative district, and county.

For several years, Project Zip Code has provided a clear picture of the credit union movement’s collective grassroots strength. It is important credit unions update their profile at least once a year to help keep this data accurate, because Project Zip Code is:

  • An important advocacy tool. It aids in federal and state credit union advocacy efforts, helps retain credit union champions at the federal and state levels, and creates reports for legislators based on their district’s credit union data.
  • Safe and secure. Your credit union’s information is safe and secure. No personally identifiable data or individual information leaves the database when a credit union participates in Project Zip Code. The only information uploaded to the website is the membership totals per legislative district and county.
